The Councillor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, Belén Pérez, has reported that "it is the result of the preventive and operational activities conducted during the 24 hours everyday of the year in rural municipal patrols ".

The operation involved the collaboration of the Guardia Civil and adds to the seizure of 35 plants in Almendricos August 23.

The Councillor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, Belén Pérez, has reported that "within the preventive and operational activities are carried out by the Local Police for 24 hours a day every day of the year members of the Special Units of Public Safety (UESCARM), in collaboration with Civil Guard of Puerto de Mazarrón, proceeded on the 19'45 am on Tuesday 31 August, the seizure of nine adult plants of cannabis sativa (marijuana known as ), all large and being grown illegally inside a greenhouse located in the hamlet of Ramonete (Lorca).

Perez stated that "the agents were aware of the facts as they patrolled in the vicinity of greenhouses and found that among dried plants of common vegetables in the area, other large-flowered greenery."

After several checks, and in conjunction with the owner of the greenhouse, agreed within the same checking that it was 9 marijuana plants in the final stage of cultivation, with a height greater than 3 meters.

Both the owner and the plants were made available to the Civil Guard of Puerto de Mazarrón, it is necessary to investigate the incident and instruction of the relevant proceedings for an alleged crime against public health.

The City Council Public Safety Local Police commended for this outstanding performance that highlights the work of prevention to avoid the commission of such crimes, emphasizing the collaboration between local police and Guardia Civil.
