The City expands by 50% its aquatics program with the opening of the new Municipal Pool Cover (14/09/2010)

Councilman Sports City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has reported that tomorrow is the registration period opens on water programs of this new infrastructure and the complex's pool Europe.

Lorca 4000 may participate in this year's municipal swimming courses, swimming school Matroswimming, babies, Aquagym and physical activity for the elderly in the aquatic environment.

Councilman Sports City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has reported that tomorrow Wednesday, September 15 at 8:00 pm and opens the registration period for aquatic programs offered from the Department of Sports, within the area Sport and Health, which will begin next October and whose main novelty the opening of the new Municipal Pool Cover Barrio de San Antonio.

With this new equipment the City Council, through which increased by 50% the number of places offered in the courses run, and the Sports Complex swimming pool in Europe, will reach the 4,000 participants in these activities.

Montiel explained that "with this new municipal infrastructure can register from tomorrow 2,300 people in the City aquatic programs, of which 1,850 may participate in swimming lessons, which are added 112 places for babies, 18 pitches aquagym pregnant and 320. "

In the case of hydrotherapy, water activities for the elderly, there is also an increase of 50% of the positions offered, from 200 to 300 seats.

In addition, the Swim School program, which alone does not increase because it is for all students in Primary 6 of provision for a supply of 1,100 places for students from 22 schools.

"However, there will be schools that the new pool will close this program until now because they all developed at the Sports Complex Europe," said Montiel.

The numbers for registration may be collected at each of the two facilities available for this: Europe and Pool Sports Complex in San Antonio, as appropriate.

The mayor of Sports said "the same way, we designed a schedule that will allow Lorca can swim freely almost any day of the week at any time between 8:00 am and 23:00 hours."

In this sense, the complex pool Europe will maintain regular hours, while the new pool will keep open its doors on Wednesday and Friday between 8:00 and 23:00 hours continuously, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 to 14:30 and 16:00 to 23 pm and Sundays from 9:30 to 14:30 and 17:00 to 21:00.

Thus, on Saturday the pool will be open on Sundays Europe and San Antonio.

The council has also stressed that "despite the increase in services prices remain, being of 29.35 euros per month for swimming courses of three weekly classes, 58.1 per quarter for two lessons per week and 29.35 euros quarterly for one class a week. "

For its part, the prices will loose baths of 1.95 euros for children under 18 years and 3.05 for those over 18, the bonds of 10 baths for children under 18 will be 13.65 euros and older than age of 21.35 euros, while monthly bonus for children under 18 cost € 19.5 and for that age exceeding 30.5 euros.

New municipal swimming pool in the neighborhood of San Antonio

The new municipal swimming pool cover Barrio de San Antonio is located next to San Juan Bosco Institute and aims especially to serve the residents of this neighborhood, as well as those of La Viña, Alfonso X, San José, La Torrecilla and El Campillo, among other districts.

This pool has eight swimming streets, rather than the six that exist in the only facility of this kind in the city, a length of 25 meters and width 16.5 depth ranging from 1.20 to 1 , 40 yards.

The building has been built on a municipal plot of 2,070 m2, have another drink for children, with dimensions of 16.5 to 6 meters and a depth of between 0.60 and 0.90 meters.

It has also been connected to the existing pavilion with a unique lobby and common cafeteria, and the usual services in these facilities, along with some special costumes accompanied minors.

Another feature of this building is its use of solar energy for heating water and for 50% of energy consumption of the installation.

In addition, the initial project was improved with the adaptation of a car park and the arrangement of the low to the gym for the students of San Juan Bosco and neighbors.
