The spokesman for Economic Affairs and Council Member of the PSOE in Lorca, Isidro Abellán, proposed in Parliament next Monday that suppliers meet the City "scrupulously" the new Law Delinquency and charge within 30 days.

This Act came into force on July 7, sets a maximum time of 60 days for payments by companies to their suppliers and 30 days for public administration, with an adjustment period that will extend into both cases until 2013.

This transitional period of adaptation or brand that the government will pay a maximum of 50 days during the remainder of 2010 and 2011, 45 days in 2012, and 30 days after January 1, 2013.

This Act also allow suppliers and creditors claim in writing their debt, and if within one month is not resolved, go against the administration by way of judicial review.

This Act gives the right to suppliers and creditors to claim council compensation for all recovery costs incurred, such as interest on arrears, financial costs, etc., Which even today are supporting the companies in Lorca.

Abellán, explained that the PSOE will also request that the City of Lorca implant, as a matter of urgency, an electronic billing system, so as to expedite the billing method and that the suppliers can always know what the status of their bills.

The Socialists also asked that the PP government team monthly report to the House of unpaid bills, so that local groups of the Opposition can make a work of monitoring and controlling the billing system.
