The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, Director General of Trade and Handicraft of the Autonomous Community, Julio José Lorenzo, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca, Eusebio Abellán inaugurate the exhibition, which runs until Sunday.
The mayors of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, with director general of Trade and Handicraft of the Autonomous Community, Julio José Lorenzo, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca, Eusebio Abellán, and the director sample, Gregorio Gonzalez, opened this morning at the fairgrounds in Santa Quiteria of Lorca, the Craft Fair XXVII of the Region of Murcia (Feramur).
Feramur be held from tomorrow until Sunday, is one of the largest craft fairs in Spain and this year has the participation of a total of 94 artisans, of which 56 are from the region and 14 from other provinces and nine countries.
This exhibition, organized by Ministry of Universities, Business and Research, through the Directorate General of Commerce and Handicrafts, in collaboration with the municipality of Lorca, the Chamber of Commerce and Cajamurcia Lorca, is the premier showcase for regional crafts and visitors can buy and taste the products offered in 130 booths and 8,000 meters of exhibition.
The fair also features live craft demonstrations and a playground.
This edition of Feramur showed 36 trades represented by artisans from 16 localities in the region, such as La Coruña, Gerona, Barcelona, Salamanca, Madrid, Toledo, Cuenca, Ciudad Real, Córdoba, Sevilla, Granada, Almeria, Valencia and Alicante addition to the countries of Uruguay, Mexico, Turkey, Morocco, Thailand, Indonesia, Senegal and Italy.
The Craft Fair of Murcia will be open from tomorrow Thursday at 12:00 hours to 14:30 hours, and in the afternoon from 16:30 to 22:00 hours.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours will be from 11:00 to 14:30 and 16:30 to 22:00.
The entrance fee is three euros.
