The director general of Roads stresses that action "helps to reduce accidents in the region" and also involves "the creation of many jobs"
The Director General of Roads of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, Jose Guijarro, today introduced the comprehensive renovation project of the road-inch (RM-D8), which connects the city of Lorca and the deputation of Carrasquilla entailing a total investment of 5,322,133 euros.
The activity is aimed at improving road safety on a route along which more than half a million drivers a year, through the expansion of the road from km 0 to 8.
The aim is to achieve a width of eight meters with the construction expansion wedges.
According Guijarro, the works "will allow to speed communications in the southeast area of the municipality and improve the connection and the villages of Campo Lopez and the Mesilla with Lorca.
