The Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Manuel Campos, accompanied by the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, today visited the new base of Emergency Zarcilla hamlet of Palm, only in the Region of Murcia have helicopters and various security services and emergencies in a single space, which, according to Campos, "will shorten response times to different parts of the country and give a perfectly coordinated service."

The base, which specializes in preventing and extinguishing forest fires, is located one kilometer from the center of population of that hamlet north of town, on a plot of 10,500 square meters and also serves the villages of El Rincon, The Paca, Doña Inés, Coy, Avilés, Zarzadilla of Totana, La Tova and The Culebrina, its complicated relief that require a fixed place of safety.
