Maintaining collections of documents from the Reconquista

The origins of the municipal archive dating back to the time of the Reconquista and the Medieval City Council, when the ark of the three keys started to guard the most important documents such as grants, exemptions, concessions and chapter minutes.

Subsequently, all this growing documentation joined to a room in City Hall, a guarded under three keys: the Mayor, the Councillor and the Clerk of the Council.
