The Development Cooperation mayor said that "the Saharawi people today is a people attacked and lynched" and said "as Spanish, Lorca and humans have a moral commitment to the Sahrawi."
The Councillor for Development Cooperation of the Municipality of Lorca, Mari Carmen Ruiz, with the president of the Association of Friends of the Saharawi people, Fernando Arcas, presented an exhibition of photographs that reflect different aspects of the everyday people who can be seen from tomorrow until Feb. 4 at the Garden Ruano under the title "The other vision of the Sahara."
This is a collection of snapshots that reflected different situations of everyday life of the Saharan and moments of great beauty as the sunset in the desert.
These pictures are for sale to raise funds that will be used by that association for the purchase of medical supplies and humanitarian aid will be shipped the Saharawi people.
Mari Carmen Ruiz said that "today the Saharawi people is a people attacked. We as Spanish, Lorca and, above all, as citizens, have the moral obligation not to remain idle before the lynching that is suffering. We have that obligation as Spanish, because our country has a debt with the former Spanish territory years ago. Also as Lorca, because our city is committed by its twinning with the "Wilaya of Laayoune, which should answer just now that is when they most need our help.
