The director general of the Foundation Cajamar, Carmen María Giménez and Councillor for Culture, Rosa Medina, presented at a press conference Campaign Municipal Theatre 2010 - 2011 school to schools in the municipality of Lorca and the region, coinciding with the release of play "Around the world ...."
Already underway in the province of Almeria from six years ago, this outstanding educational program opens in the Murcia Region with a wide range of theater in the main towns of the region as Lorca, Murcia, Cartagena, Caravaca, Puerto Lumbreras Totana Aledo, Mazarrón, Aguilas Blanca Molina de Segura, among others, in the hope of reaching the 50,000 participating schools in 2011.
This new edition of the Theatre School Campaign, which promotes the Foundation with the assistance Cajamar Escenalia executive, Performing Initiatives and invaluable collaboration of the municipalities involved to give up their cultural facility is configured as a true educational program aimed bring children to experience the theater, from a pedagogical concept that actively involves not only children but all those involved in their education: their parents, teachers and public officials.
To do this, along with the drama, the campaign includes a series of educational materials for school work permit program in the schools themselves.
This campaign, which runs throughout the school year, aims at encouraging youth entertainment where players are cultural concerns, while helping to form citizens with social values such as equality, tolerance, solidarity and respect to multiculturalism, in the framework of the MDGs, for which the Foundation Cajamar performs a wide range of social and cultural initiatives.
The different plays show clear examples of attitudes of kindness, generosity, love and respect to the nature of the hand of the adaptation of literary and musical gems as "The Magic Flute" or "The Thousand and One Nights" and has specific offer English for bilingual schools.
In addition to this ambitious program aims to promote reading and the performing arts such as dance, puppetry and shadow theater, among others.
Therefore, the Campaign School Theatre is considered the educational-cultural experience of higher dimension that has been implemented not only in the municipality of Lorca, but in the Region of Murcia.
For this first edition, more than 4,000 students from 35 colleges have already made reservations for the 20 functions that will take place at the Teatro Lorca War from January to May 2011, estimated that at the end of this year about 5,000 school participated this first year.
