Definitely a great Spanish film that opens a program that has come out with very national character without intending to, by simply using a selection criterion, as always, seek the most interesting movies released in recent months in our country and, for some reason has not been seen in our city.

Although, as recently acknowledged by the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts, this has not been a good year at the box office for productions purely Spanish, the truth is that the quality of our film if it has been high, as evidenced Buried (Buried) and also the rain, hogging both a multitude of nominations for the upcoming Goya Awards as well as a stunning success with the public.

Less known to the public, but as desirable as the above, there are 18 meals, an original comedy filmed in Santiago de Compostela offers us a kaleidoscopic vision, emotion and fun of life in that city, with the help of an impressive cast Galician actors, led by Luis Tosar, and The Way, another reason Galician title, nothing less than an exciting tour of the Camino de Santiago is the central argument of this Spanish film production (despite its title) directed by and starring by Americans, although Galician (actors Emilio Estevez and Martin Sheen, father and son in real life).

The magnificent documentary Maria and I, adapted from the book of the same title which reflects the experience full of vitality and tenderness of a father on vacation with her autistic daughter, completes the Spanish representation in this first year's programming.

Best European Film 2010, according to all the critics, certified copies, won a Golden Palm at Cannes 2010 for actress, Juliette Binoche, and the Golden Spike at Valladolid 2010, is the following projection of the cycle, Wednesday 9 February.

And, finally, to close with a snap of luxury this showcase of good cinema, our choice for the film classic Breakfast at Tiffany's, in original version with subtitles, and as a tribute to the great American comedy director, Blake Edwards, who died recently we offer our fans a unique opportunity to revisit this wonderful film on the big screen and hear the single version of its legendary theme, Moon river, the original voice of Audrey Hepburn's own, the best there has ever been interpreted in this Song, by his own creator, the composer Henry Mancini.
