The managing director of the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region (IVS), Jane Brown, today visited a building rehabilitated by the regional government in Lorca for social purposes, accompanied by the Councillor for Social Care, Family and Immigration, Eulalia Ibarra.
"The IVS holds the rehabilitation of housing for poor families receiving economic in 12 municipalities of the region through a line of support to local government, to facilitate access to housing for all Murcia" said the managing director.
In particular, the rehabilitated building has three bedrooms and 93 sq meters, is located at number nine in the cobbled streets and has received an investment of 51,531 euros autonomous.
The works carried out have included the overall improvement of housing with a new partition, the replacement of coatings, both interior and exterior, complete replacement of the sanitary and electrical installations and plumbing, plus carpentry and painting housing.
Repair Plan in Lorca
Castano said that this action "complements the interventions made within the Repair Plan, which have recovered 1,500 housing regional public park, to improve the livability and quality of life of the tenant families."
Repair Plan, in its second phase envisages the rehabilitation of 76 next housing in the municipality with an investment of 300,000 euros including the adequacy of buildings and improving the accessibility and common areas of buildings.
