The Local Government Board approves the agreement with the Autonomous Community to begin construction of the central round (18/02/2011)

The agreement, signed by the Mayor and the Chief Executive in the coming weeks Ballesta, reflects the commitment of the Regional Government to fund the millions of euros it costs the first phase and tender the works in the coming months of this year.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has reported that Local Government has given the green light to the signing of a cooperation agreement by which the Autonomous Community agrees to pay € 9,794,785.5 million representing building the first phase of the central round and to tender the works of this important infrastructure this year.

Jódar explained that in the coming weeks will sign with the Minister of Public Works of the Autonomous Community, José Ballesta this agreement, which also includes a monitoring committee of the works.

The document stipulates that the central round is a 4.5 km road section length with 4-lane urban roads separated by central reserve with sidewalks, parking and bike lanes.

The Mayor explained that this first section will have four lanes, sidewalks, a median and bike lane along a length of 1,550 meters, which is divided into two subsections: the first will include two roundabouts and a bridge to bridge crossing the railway line and the second will start from second to third roundabout to be built next to river.
