Residents of Canada de Animas, in the district of San Cristobal, has again expressed outrage this morning by the work stoppage affecting the street from the month of July last year.

The work, affecting a stretch of about 100 m, extend for ten months.

During this time residents, mostly elderly, have serious mobility problems, to the point of being unable to develop normal daily activities like going shopping or doctor.

According to those affected, the few workers who remain in the work are unemployed because "neither charged nor have the material necessary to do their job."

In fact, two weeks ago it opened a ditch of considerable size to repair a water pipe, but as they have the necessary parts, remains open without the relevant security measures approved.

The operators have been fitted with wooden pallets with plastic tape that has not prevented a resident of the area to fall recently.

Another of the complaints of the neighbors has to do with a steep fall has also caused the neighbors and, moreover, is running well above the level of the front doors and garages that now bind to changes in these buildings.

Moisture problems, caused by all these months of deprotection of the firm, is another concern of the neighbors.

The works were awarded in November 2009 with an implementation period of three months.

However, did not begin until July 2010 to be abandoned in August.

Following a complaint made by the PSOE and neighbors in October resumed work shortly thereafter returned to a halt.

In January PSOE neighbors and continued to demand an end to the works.

Then, the councilor of the PP, Eulalia Ibarra, promised to solve this problem in a fortnight.

Three months later, the affected are in a "desperate" and require that the City honor its commitment to once and for all.
