The Government of Spain continues to send troops to Lorca (13/05/2011)

General Directorate of Police and Civil Guard:

200 personnel of the Police Intervention Unit, 70 officers of the staff of the Commissioner of Lorca; 1 team with 5 rescue dog handlers, a rescue team underground and 505 Civil Guard troops and 1 team with 4 dog handlers Search and rescue.

2 special vehicle rescue techniques Intervention Task Force of the Police and three helicopters, one a Superpuma.

Traffic Department

84 troops from the Traffic Department of the Guardia Civil with 31 vehicles and 18 motorcycles, supported by 2 helicopters from the Traffic Department.

National Geographic Institute

Seismic Station Mobile Unit with full real time satellite transmission.

Emergency Radio Network for Civil Protection (REMER)

20 provinces linked with 33 employees of the Emergency Radio Network for Civil Protection (REMER).
