The City Council hires the first Lorca Lorca standing (14/06/2011)

The first Local Government Committee of the legislature has given its approval to take the strike to 14 architects and technical architects shortlisted by the municipality of the Regional Employment Service for the technical direction of the rehabilitation work on municipal bins and processing of records technicians.

The first meeting of the legislature of the Local Government of the City of Lorca, led by Francisco Jodar re-elected mayor, approved the hiring of unemployed Lorca first shortlisted by the Regional Employment and Training under the Plan for the Extraordinary Job Lorca Autonomous approved for the earthquakes of May 11 and after obtaining the highest score in the selection process conducted by a court representative.

Specifically, today's agreement provides for the recruitment of 14 unemployed people registered with the office of the SEF Lorca, 2 of whom are architects, 12 architectural technicians, which will focus on the technical and construction management for rehabilitation of buildings and other assets municipal as well as the processing of technical documents, control and supervision of the damage caused by the earthquake, with special attention to the harm facing the resolution of applications for assistance for the reform of structures affected by earthquakes.

Most of these professionals will begin working this Thursday and will remain employed by the City Council six months.

Councilmember Employment office, Lali Ibarra, recalled that "these contracts are part of a much more ambitious plan of 3 million euros to avoid an increase in unemployment following the damage caused by earthquakes in many companies."

The City Council will also bring the strike to 60 laborers and farm foremen Lorca

The new Municipal Government has also given the green light to the request for a grant program of the Regional Councils for Employment to bring unemployment to 60 farm laborers and foremen of the municipality to hire in order to enhance gardens, afforestation of mountains, maintenance ditches, and cleaning gullies, hillocks and signs.

Ibarra explained that "this program is separate from the Special Plan of the Regional Government and the new employment programs that we announced a few days ago for the people of Uptown."
