The deadline to justify the costs of emergency was extended to the legal maximum in a month until September 4 (29/07/2011)

The Insurance Compensation Consortium has paid 80.4 million euros from 14,673 records of damage to homes and businesses

Emergency expenses for demolition and shoring with money order to date amount to 2.4 billion euros

He has compensated the families of the deceased with 144,000 euros

The government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has signed a resolution extending by one month, until 4 September, the deadline for emergency expenses to justify actions arising from critical, such as demolition and underpinnings for the earthquakes of Lorca's last May.

The usual period in cases of emergency is a month, having decided at the time that out of two for actions arising from the earthquakes of last May.

By extending a month now, this period has been extended to its maximum possible legal.

Moreover, Gonzalez Tovar has indicated that it has given effect to the resolutions and ordered payment of 2,197,000 euros for emergency expenses demolition of buildings, amount to which we must add 289,000 euros to fund other props.

The delegate of the Government has reportedly been admitted to the families of those killed by the earthquake of Lorca compensation of 18,000 euros provided by the Government of Spain, which account for 144,000 euros in total.

He has also noticed that the Insurance Compensation Consortium under the Ministry of Finance, has paid EUR 80,406,858.76 of 14,673 records of repairs to houses, shops, offices and industries affected by the earthquake.

The technical work of the Consortium, added González Tovar, will not be interrupted during the month of August, which will continue processing the remaining records.

Have so far managed 57 percent of the total and there is a commitment to have paid practically all before September 15.

In this regard, González Tovar has clarified that the Insurance Compensation Consortium has entered the city of Lorca 3 million euro for the rehabilitation of municipal buildings affected by the earthquake.

Overall, says the Government Delegate, the State Administration has already paid work in progress and 100 million euros, as the figures given there are the following:

- 1,784,721.37 euros invested by the Ministry of Development, under the 1% Cultural, in the Palacio de Guevara, San Antonio Porch and the castle walls.

- 979,000 euros that the Ministry is running on emergency works in the church of San Mateo, with budgets of the Ministry of Housing.

- 3 million euros will be invested, also from the Ministry of Development, in improving the safety of the tunnel and the viaduct of the A-7.

- Direct grant of 2 million euros from the Ministry of Education in the Autonomous Region for the repair of damage to infrastructure teachers.

- Repair works at the Parador, under the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, amounting to almost 5 billion euros.

- The Ministry of Culture has committed to participate in the Master Plan for restoration of heritage monuments of Lorca.

Are already underway 1,085,000 euros in the Tower of Ram and 66,000 euros in parts of the Archaeological Museum.

- Repair works of Lorca headquarters of the Inland Revenue (400,000 euros) and the National Institute of Social Security (53,100 euros).

- The Ministry of Environment, Rural and Marine has budgeted 500,000 euros for emergency aid.

- One million euros as a direct subsidy from the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce under the plan of re-industrialization of Lorca.

- It is expected that today the Council of Ministers took account of two other emergency works carried out in Lorca: repairing the water tank of this city (2.36 million euros) and of the damage to infrastructure and buildings postrasvase ( 750,000).

- The Government of Spain takes over 50 percent of compensation approved by the Joint Commission to share with the Autonomous Communities to housing rehabilitation and payment of rents.

The first batch approved by this committee last July 18 amounted to 930,491 euros.

Moreover, Gonzalez Tovar recalled that the Ministry of Finance transferred to the City of Lorca's 2011 dues of Property Tax of homes and businesses affected by the earthquake and also assumes the reduction of business tax that is proportional while it has ceased operations.

Finally, the delegate of the Government also explained that the Ministry of Finance has set up a ICO 25 million euros that has a 0% interest and one-year grace period and a complementary manner, the plan of re-industrialization of Lorca , promoted by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, which is endowed with 12 million in soft loans.

Both will undoubtedly serve to support small and medium enterprises Lorca.
