The Governing Council has been informed of various actions that the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment held in Lorca for the repair of schools affected by the earthquakes registered in the municipality on 11 May.
Thus, were hired by the emergency procedure Ros works in IES Giner and colleges of Education and Primary Virgen de las Huertas, Jose Robles, San Jose and San Fernando.
The amount of these actions is an overall amount of EUR 1.9 million within an investment of 20 million euros will be needed for full recovery of the educational heritage of Lorca.
The works being carried out mainly affect these four schools cited CEIP and Alfonso X and Sacred Heart, and three institutes of Secondary Education (Giner Ros, Ramón Arcas and Ibanez Martin).
The objective of the Community is to undertake during the summer the most urgent work to enable the centers to open next September, to start the next school as normally as possible.
