The first bills were sent demolition by the City Council on 13 July, two months after the earthquake
The Interior Ministry is still waiting for the City Council make a forecast of expenditure to reserve the amount for payment of 100% of demolition
Murcia, August 16, 2011 .- In response to statements made by the Councillor for Hacienda del Ayuntamiento de Lorca this morning, the Government Delegation in Murcia reiterates that has delivered over 2.7 million euros to finance the cost of demolition of buildings, shoring and removal of debris.
This amount comes from the Ministry of Interior, which has taken over 100% of this expenditure.
He also clarified that the first bills for this purpose by the City Council were sent to the Government Office on 13 July, two months after the occurrence of earthquakes.
In addition, a large part of them had flaws and inaccuracies that made it impossible for its processing, so we had to ask for greater rigor in the identification of businesses, jobs out, etc..
Moreover, the Government Office has asked the City Council on two occasions to report on forecast spending approximately point demolition of buildings, which so far has failed, despite the importance to the ministry assumes the full cost of the credit has to know to book.
For all these reasons, the Delegation of the Government continues to believe that the City is overwhelmed and is unable to manage the problem of Lorca, why try to divert attention from the public looking for guilty parties where there is none and trying to promote confrontation policy, which only get tangled and hurt the most affected.
