Around 2200 Lorca who have lost their residence benefit from financial assistance approved by the City Council (09/09/2011)

The Local Government has this morning approved a new package of repayable advances for access to rental housing and basic needs.

The Spokesman of the Communication of the City of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz, reported that the city council has approved a new set of aid to families who have been lorquina hardest hit by the earthquake on May 11.

Jódar Ruiz explained that the Local Government has given its approval at the meeting that took place this morning at an aid package which is an economic pillar of € 66,050.

These aids that focus on two strands: on the one hand it has approved a budget of 61,100 euros in aid for basic needs that will directly benefit a total of 57 families who have lost Lorca your home because of earthquakes.

In detail, we are talking of 27 grants amounting to 800 euros each to households up to 2 persons, 11 grants amounting to $ 1,000 each to families consisting of 3 persons and 19 for an amount of 1,500 euros families of 4 or more people.

Communication Spokesperson said that the second line of battery performance aid approved by the Local Government focuses on the provision of repayable advances to facilitate access to rental housing.

In this sense it has given its approval to a total of 6 advances, which benefit half a dozen families Lorca, assuming a lump sum of 5,000 euros.

Maria del Carmen Ruiz said that the City Council of Lorca, with the aid package approved this morning, have already spent more than € 730,000 in direct payments to Lorca who have lost their homes.

In concrete terms, 663 families in our municipality will benefit from this aid, assuming around 2,200 people.

The City Council, more agile management for delivering assistance

Communication Spokesperson stressed the fact that the City is still the more agile government in approving and delivering aid and repayable advances to benefit the citizens most affected by the earthquake on 11 May.

Money from these grants and advances come from the funds of the Solidarity Committee, which unanimously approved the implementation of these proposals.
