The Government Delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has reported that the Cabinet has today awarded a special credit in the budget of the State Agency for Agricultural Insurance (ENESA), amounting to 500,000 euros, to repair damage caused by the earthquake on May 11, 2011 in Lorca, Murcia.
González Tovar has indicated that this credit, which is funded from the remaining body's own cash, is intended to address the payment of compensation under Article 5 of Royal Decree Law 6 / 2011 of 13 May, adopting urgent measures to repair damage caused by the earthquake.
The aid will target the owners of farms or livestock located in the municipality of Lorca, with policies in force covered by the Agricultural Insurance Plan in 2011, have suffered losses exceeding 20%, according to the criteria established by the European Union in this regard.
