You can no longer speak of the emergence of the paddle in the city of Lorca as a surprise, but as a reality.
Within a few years the sport has become a major sports revelation Sun City and today has thousands of followers and a dozen tracks.
But above all, has managed to paddle hard to reach young athletes, who are training the best ways to get one day to register their names as winners of major competitions.
Therefore, the paddle had to be present at the Games in an outstanding way: with a new edition of Intersport Zuran Tournament to be held on 8 and 9 October, with a base competition, held during the morning of Saturday.
The Sports Complex hosted the turret fighting tournament for the Paddle Base of the Games which children of all ages are faced with the shovel on hand to demonstrate their progress in this sport that engages both.
The tournament was played by the league system to subsequently perform the crosses and the expected semi final.
The winners were the couple joint venture of Raquel and Jose Maria.
Lorca not only took part in the competition but also young players from Puerto Lumbreras joined the sports festival, demonstrating the large pool that has the sport in our region, heralding a bright future for Murcia paddle.
