The best national chess masters meet in Lorca to participate in a weekend of solidarity (25/09/2011)

This weekend Chess has been one of the dominant modes within the broad programming Guadalentín Sports Games.

And is that from the Chess Club Lorca, the Federation of Murcia and the Spanish Federation of Chess put every possible effort so that the programming was also unforgettable for all the events were a necessary characteristic of solidarity, as important for the difficult days that lives Lorca.

Throughout the weekend we could count on the presence of the President of the Federation of International Grandmaster Chess, Javier Ochoa de Echagüen.

Beside him was a cast of players from national and international prestige.

Among these are Ivan Salgado, '18 runner-up sub and one of the 5 best players in the world, Anabel Guadamur, champion of Spain in all categories in which it has competed, Jose Manuel Lopez, of Spain runner Chess, Manuel Rivas Javier Alcaraz, and seven winners of the Championship of Spain by age held a few weeks ago in Padrón, and Lorca arrived from Bulgaria where it competed few dates in the European Championships in which Ivan Salgado European bronze hung.

The program began in the afternoon on Saturday with a gesture of solidarity, since all visitors toured the city of Lorca to see first hand the impact of earthquakes of May 11, visiting the Vineyard, San Fernando or San Diego.

And after 19 pm in the Alameda of Columns, came one of the most anticipated moments: the simultaneous game, which this year was multiple, for up to 6 tables were equipped with ten boards each, thanks to which Lorca all fans could compete against the champions visitors while they were learning new moves and strategies.

7 Specifically participated simultaneously, all of them champions of Spain or Great Masters like Salgado, Guadamur, David Anton, Jose Carlos Ibarra and Irene Nicolas Zapata, who made the 70 players who live an unforgettable evening of chess.

In addition, all participants who wanted to be able to take home the boards in those who played, of a memorial, signed by his idols of chess in exchange for a voluntary donation to the Bureau for Development.

At night almost a hundred friends Guadalentín chess and Murcia Region met at the Hacienda Real Los Olivos to attend a benefit dinner which was also used at the Mesa Partnership for addressing those causes most pressing and tragic produced by earthquakes.

The highlight of the schedule is not going to be less in terms of solidarity.

And is that the tournament in Sunday morning at the Hacienda Real Los Olivos, as well as had a pattern worthy of applause, and all registration fees will also provide the Bureau Solidar, like the proceeds from the sale of commemorative T-shirts this unforgettable weekend.

The game system with games at 5 minutes, allowed spectacular and dynamic duels, where any minor mistake could lead to losing the game, in fact surprises in the winners have been diverse, although the names of national champions excel in classifications.

Note also the involvement of local players, who have taken the medals despite facing chess with real stars coming from all over Spain.

Thus an exciting weekend of high quality sports offered was that the friends of the Chess Club and the Federation of the Region of Murcia, who were able to meet in two days a great spectator sport and also an emotional joint tribute to the city of Lorca.
