The Community law last an extraordinary fiscal measures for the victims of the earthquakes in Lorca (19/10/2011)

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Salvador Marin, announced today at the Regional Assembly that the Autonomous Region is finalizing a tax law extraordinary measures for the victims of earthquakes in the municipality of Lorca on 11 May.

Marin said that "this year, for the first time in the history of the Region of Murcia, is to submit to this Regional Assembly a bill to tax extraordinary measures, in this case, as a result of natural disasters suffered in Lorca" .

This standard deductions collect inheritance taxes and donations, as well as the transfer tax and stamp duty.

It was also proposed, among others, the exemption from the fee for the management of activities and industrial and energy facilities, the fee for carrying out checks and contrasts and the authorization fee for gas connections, water and electricity.

On the other hand, the Minister re-emphasized "the need for the State to fund the Plan Lorca".

In this regard, he said "must act in solidarity, as was done with the Plan Galicia after the catastrophe of the 'Prestige', for attaining the recovery of Lorca and avoid the sharp drop in economic and business pulse not only in Sun City but throughout the region, threatening the income levels and living standards of the inhabitants, as well as territorial and social cohesion and economic convergence emanating from the Constitution and the European Union. "

The Minister of Economy said that "we must keep in mind that we are addressing the present and future of thousands of people who have been victims of this severe natural disaster."

In addition, Marin expressed his hope that the non-legislative proposal approved last September 13 at the Congress of Deputies unanimously at the request of PP, and forcing the central executive to the adoption of a plan of measures to taken in May, "not only sets out the measures and funding under the Plan Lorca, but extends it."

And infrastructure projects are classified into 14 categories, are especially relevant for the amount relating to transport the excess of 150 million euros, Housing, Works and Services, with a borrowing of 145.8 million, and Development with 57.

In addition, four categories of initiatives over 10 million people, such as Health Care (24.5 million), Culture (15 million) and Sports (15 million).

Other categories are Special Employment Plan 2012-2013 with eight initiatives and a budget of 9.5 million, Education (6 million), assistance to older people (6.5 million), car supplies (two million), Tourism ( three actions), Emergency (eight million), Youth (three actions) or fair (two million of financing).
