The Official College of Veterinarians of the Region of Murcia has shown full support and solidarity with colleagues affected by the earthquake in Lorca, for which he has collected a total of 26,670.76 euros.
Councilmember of Health of the City of Lorca, Antonia Lopez, has been reported that following the earthquake that took place on May 11, the College of Veterinarians of the Region of Murcia launched an initiative with the aim of raise funds to help all fellow victims of the tragedy.
In this way, they opened an account number in which friends, professional colleagues, clinics and various institutions have made their contributions, which have added a total of 26,670.76 euros,
The President of that body, Fulgencio Fernández, along with the councilman of Health, and the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Murcia, Antonio Rouco, have delivered this morning the donation to the owners of these clinics.
In this same line of solidarity contributions, the College of Veterinarians of Murcia has also donating their bit veterinary supplies to the city of Lorca in the amount of 6,500 euros.
The city council, meanwhile, has delivered the donation to veterinarians.
Lorca veterinary facilities that will benefit from these contributions in order to cover the damage sustained is Oval Veterinary Clinic, Veterinary Clinic St. Patrick Veterinary Clinic Veterinary Clinic La Seda and Cervantes.
Lopez thanked the collaboration, which represents a further contribution to the recovery of the commercial fabric of the city that suffered so much damage from the May 11 earthquake and then the new Royal Decree remains without direct government aid to rehabilitation, except those with insurance.
It further emphasizes that veterinary clinics play a key role in the health of cities in close collaboration with governments, ensuring the correct state of the animals.
