The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, public relations and Chorus and Dance Group of Virgen de las Huertas, Luis Gonzalez, presented this morning the National Folk Festival VI "Sun City", to be held this Saturday at 19:30 hours at the Fairgrounds Santa Quiteria.
Martinez explained that this year with the participation of groups from Badajoz Cultural Association "chinstrap" Cabeza de Buey, Alicante Dance Group Villena and "Passions huertanas" Murcia thanks to several sponsors, and the work of the Department of Culture and Celebration and the assistance of the totally altruistic Villena make it possible to perform in this year 2011.
Songs and Dances "Virgen de las Huertas" Lorca, after a long history of creating the International Folklore Festival "Virgen de las Huertas" within the program of events for the festivity in honor of Santa María la Real de las Huertas in the month September, decided to split the event and leave this entirely international and create a festival of national and do participate in the festivity of the Federation in November organized by Holiday-Cultural San Clemente, patron of Lorca.
