The Planning Department received the first applications to rebuild buildings that had to be demolished because of earthquake (30/11/2011)

This is a series of 5 houses in street Marsilla, Poet Gimeno Castellar, Ramblilla of San Lazaro, Terce and Rio.

It also provides reach that next week the blueprints for the reconstruction of buildings Gallístico (Plaza Nueva), Grail (The Vineyard), Plaza Apprentice (The Vineyard) and street Carpentry (The Vineyard).

The Town Planning of the City of Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, has reported that the city council has already received 5 applications for building permits for the reconstruction of so many buildings that were demolished because of earthquake damage occurred in the past May 11.

In this case it is single family homes that are located on Calle Marsilla, street poet Gimeno Castellar, Ramblilla of San Lazaro, Terce and Rio.

Moreover, it should be noted that after several meetings with communities affected, and after a long process is expected that over the next week are presented in the Technical Office of Reconstruction the first four technical blueprints as many communities to begin the process of reconstruction.

It is also many other buildings had to be demolished.

This is Gallístico buildings (Plaza Nueva), Grail (The Vineyard), Plaza Apprentice (The Vineyard) and street Carpentry (The Vineyard).

Manzanera Peñarrubia explained that once they come into force the new rules drafted by the City (including its publication in the BORM scheduled for this week), the Technical Office of Reconstruction Planning Area shall grant licenses for the first 5 reconstruction.

In parallel, discussions are daily contact with owner communities to help in decision-making.

The Town Planning has said that even from the Planning Area are coordinating and directing a work indispensable and urgent actions to ensure the protection of cultural heritage of the town of Lorca against weather damage which may aggravate damage already suffered by the earthquake, in compliance with Royal Decree Law 17/2011 of 31 October.

It consists of 18 performances for a total of € 2,347,887, whose works are almost all initiated.

Of all of them emphasize their importance, size and scale that corresponds with the consolidation of the Wall and the rock mass of the Castle, for a total of € 940,394.

We note that with these works is done to prevent landslides warranty on houses near the castle and the parador and therefore allow the reopening of the road surrounding the Fortress of the Sun with full guarantee of safety and without risk of falls, as these works are added to the previous two hired by the city of Lorca.
