Councilman Sports City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, has reported that the Garden of the Wheel will be the site chosen for this year's dispute of the local phase in the School Sports Cross Country modality for the child categories, cadet and youth.
The competition, organized by the Sports Department and included within the School Sports Programme 2011-2012, will have a total of 1,500 students, belonging to the secondary schools of our town: Giner Ros IES, IES Ibáñez Martín, IES Ramón Arcas, Prince of Asturias IES, IES San Juan Bosco, Sierra de Almenara IESO, IESO Pedanías High, College and Colegio San Francisco Mother of God
Llamas explained that the competition will take place next Tuesday 24 January and will begin at 10:15 am.
The categories and distances of the test are as follows:
Female Children: Distance: 1290 m
Male Child: Distance: 2410 m
Cadet and Junior Women: Distance: 1970 m
Cadet and Junior Men: 11:50 h.
Distance: 3150 m
Sports Councillor has indicated that the regional final will qualify for the first center of each category in the form of equipment, and 3 finishers who are not members of these teams in individual mode.
It should be remembered that this test is joining other that make the competition calendar both collective and individual sports School Sports Program, year after year, is launching the Sports Department in conjunction with the Directorate General of Sports and facilities teaching of the municipality.
