The Socialist Party of Lorca claims that the Civil Guard is not entitled to receive funding from the Bureau for Development (03/02/2012)

The head of the Executive Committee on issues related to earthquakes, Antonio Navarro, is surprised at the fact that the City is not satisfied that the House Civil Guard barracks have been demolished because of earthquake

The head of the Local Executive Committee on issues related to earthquakes, Antonio Navarro, denounced "the discriminatory treatment being given to the members of the Guardia Civil, who also, as we all know, were left homeless."

Navarro pointed out that "this body, the Civil Guard has always been serving Lorca, maintaining a spotless work together with other Forces and State Security before, during and after earthquakes. I recall that Civil Guard is also composed of people, who have their family and have also been left homeless and those who are denied aid under the "Solidarity Committee" with the reason so varied, as detailed below. "

Antonio Navarro wanted to clarify that "from the Socialist Party, not asking for preferential treatment for anyone, not enter into the economic conditions that may lead to approval or denial of aid. What is not acceptable is that the Civil Guard such aid is denied claiming a ridiculous reason like this: "According to available data contained in this Commission, not reflected in this Local Government that the property of Granada Road No 12 (barracks of the Guardia Civil), has been demolished as a result of damage caused by earthquakes of 11.05.11. "

The social responsibility added that "accordingly, we do not know if the problem is that the City do not know if the building has been demolished or not, or rather, knowing that it has broken down, not clear what was the reason."

Pérez Navarro finished insisting that "in any case, inform the City Council that, indeed, the barracks of the Guardia Civil has been demolished because of damage suffered last 11.05.11 by earthquakes. And to reconsider the situation these families and give them a deal just like the rest of Lorca's neighbors. "
