Mayor Pascual Angeles presenting Awards to young talents of local literature (09/02/2012)

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, delivered in the afternoon yesterday to 12 youth in the municipality awards in the 4 ° Storytelling Contest for Secondary Education "Award Angeles Pascual", in which participated 154 students narratives of compulsory secondary education .

The award in the category of students 1 and 2 of the ESO has been conquered by Alberto Zamora Sanchez, IES Prince of Asturias, with the narrative entitled "My summer adventure."

The second prize was awarded to the play "Mona Lisa" by Ana Alvarez Garcia, a student of the College Mother of God.

The third prize winner was Matthew Marisol Delgado, College of St. Francis of Assisi, with the show "The magic ring."

Also in this category have been finalists Dew Plazas, the College of St. Francis of Assisi, with the play "Little Santa Claus" Vanessa Perez Martinez, Sun City College with the narration "Hormimovimiento" and Rocio Lopez Galera, IES San John Bosco, with the story "The birthday of my friend Joy."

In the category of students 3 and 4 of the ESO, the first prize was awarded to Elizabeth Square Torroglosa, student of the Colegio San Francisco de Assisi, with his "Memories in the Thames."

The story "Rachel" Torroglosa Paula Marin, a student from IES San Juan Bosco has won the second prize, while third prize went to the story "I love you wherever you are," Maria Isabel Molina Campos, IES Pedanías High -La Paca.

The finalists in this category have been Penas Marina Garcia, IES Sierra Almenara, with the work titled "Kisses silent," Viviana Marina Lalangui Sarango, IES Ibanez Martin with "Mysterious Walls" and Alberto Suárez Parra del Colegio San Francisco de Asis, to "Finally ...".

Jodar said the young winners "have to know that your talent, hard work, creativity and imagination are necessary virtues for this society and so we thank you for sharing these creations."

He also wanted to devote some words to Jódar Angeles Pascual, who gives name to the awards, noting that "has been to this city of Lorca more than a language arts teacher, because we could learn from his moral example, he never spared not a single effort to convey his love of life to those students who were lucky enough to learn it. "
