Councilman Sports City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, has reported that the area "activities in the natural environment" of the 2012 Program began its activities on Sunday 19 February with a mountain bike route of 51 km with output and arrival to Lorca.
The Department of Sports of Lorca in partnership with the Santiago Lorca and Lorca Walker Club, organized a year Programme of mountain bike routes "Bike and Nature" and hiking trails "Lorca Pie", respectively .
The first, "Bicycle and Nature", a program consists of 4 circular routes, 2 of them starting and finishing in Lorca, another in Avilés and fourth Zarcilla Palm.
Llamas explained that the routes are interactive and competitive.
The aim is to promote and encourage the use of mountain biking as healthy physical activity habits in contact with the natural environment, while disclosed the wide range of possibilities, places and environments for the practice of this sport Guadalentín in the Shire, and all in a recreational context, social and educational.
Here are the basics of the program:
- The routes will have a participation fee is 7 € (5 € for members of the Association Lorca Santiago)
- For services, the organization will provide participants of supplies, consisting of water, sweets and fruit.
In the 4 th route (traditional ascent to Pradico) will be given a lunch of local produce (loin, sausage, black pudding, etc).
- In each of the routes will be held raffles and gift vouchers in sports equipment to all participants.
- All routes will be mandatory helmet use and bicycle meets minimum safety conditions.

- The time and place of departure will be decided the week before.
With regard to 2 ° of the programs that make the area "Activities in the Natural Environment", "Lorca Walking 2012" is organized in collaboration with the Walker Club of Lorca The Carrasca ", which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary. This program consists of the following routes:
