Councillor of Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, with the headmistress "Ana Caicedo," Soler Mari Angeles, attended this morning's parade representing the "Carnival Story", which has developed in the vicinity of mentioned school.
Sources of "Ana Caicedo" have pointed out that this school, as is now traditional, celebrates Carnival in style, in collaboration with the Infant School Anais very close to the center.
This is an activity that is part of Project Open Door, an activity that the center has been developing since 2009 to be released to the immediate surroundings and the city of Lorca.
For this year, with the aim of promoting reading promotion, have worked Popular Tales of numerous authors, in celebration of the Bicentennial of the first publication of Tales of the Brothers Grimm.
In this sense, the costumes, all made with paper, cardboard and staples have been carried out in sweatshops that ingenious teachers have organized center, with the invaluable collaboration of parents, grandparents, titos and droplets, which as usual involved as essential gear in everyday school life.
Thus, the streets around the center have been wearing Red Riding Hoods, ratites presumed, Lead Soldiers and their beloved ballerinas, as well as the characters of Wonderland Alice, not to mention the wolf and the grandmother.
