The deputy of the Socialist parliamentary group, Manuel Soler expressed his misgivings about the "true intentions" of the Popular Party to implement the Plan Lorca.
Soler stressed that no member of the popular government of Spain received the Assembly of Neighbors affected by the earthquake during his demonstration before Congress and were attended only by members of the PP by Murcia and the mayor.
"We were surprised that neither the Minister of Development and Economy Minister or some senior had the courtesy to listen to citizens who traveled to Madrid. This makes us doubt about the commitment of the Popular Party with Lorca and gives the feeling that there is great interest that the plan succeed Lorca, measured in 1,650 million euros. "
About 400 residents of Lorca traveled to Madrid yesterday to demonstrate at the gates of the Congress of Deputies the need not to be forgotten by the authorities and proceed to rebuild the city.
By the PSOE, the neighbors were received by Mr Ramon Jauregui, Soraya Rodriguez, Maria Gonzalez Vera Cruz and Pedro Saura, who explained to them the efforts of the Socialist parliamentary group to expedite the rebuilding of the city of the sun.
The meeting was also attended by regional deputy, Manuel Soler and secretary general of the PSOE in Lorca, Juan Antonio Hurtado.
Manuel Soler stressed that "no room for half measures Lorca" and it is necessary to ensure sufficient funding to meet the needs following the earthquake and that the 2,000 families are still out of their homes regain normalcy as soon as possible.
"The Socialists have reiterated our commitment to Lorca, as we did from the Government, and also now from the Opposition.
So we ask the PP government of the Region to convey to the Lorca aid sent by the previous Socialist government that still have retained, as publicly acknowledged a few days ago both the commissioner and the mayor as well as those could reach. "
