The regional government has analyzed the compromise reached by President of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, after his meeting on Monday with Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, by which the central government will create a line specific support for the re-industrialization of Lorca, which will total 13 million euros for 2012.
In this game, one million will be awarded as outright grant and the twelve remaining loans granted through special conditions taking into account the situation where there is the town and its industrial base.
Specifically, the loan term is 15 years, with an initial period of five years grace period, a zero percent interest and without collateral by borrowers.
These aids reindustrialization actions will aim regeneration or industrial building, with the objective of promoting infrastructure investment in both industrial and business initiatives to generate income.
Therefore, the beneficiaries of these loans will have the funding to make the necessary investments without having to start paying back the amount for another five years, long enough for the funded activity is consolidated.
In addition, for the return option after five years, will have ten more that do not have to pay any interest.
The Murcian Government considers that in these times is essential to providing funds for the recovery of business and industry of Lorca, and therefore considers that the aid will be an important stimulus for the revival of industrial activity in the city.
These grants will be implemented through a partnership between the Ministry and the Ministry of Universities and Research Company, which, through the Instituto de Fomento de la Region de Murcia, will be responsible for managing them.
