The City of Lorca extended to April 30 the deadline for grant applications for the rehabilitation of businesses that were not insured Lorca May 11 (13/04/2012)

Until today there have been 206 requests.

The Consistory Lorca recalls also can accommodate the relocated stores by demolish the building after the earthquake.

All recipients must commit to reopen its doors in less than 5 months.

Due to the significant increase in filings in the last three days, the City Council of Commerce City of Lorca, Eduardo Sanchez, has reported that the Consistory has been extended until April 30 the deadline open for submission of applications for financial assistance aimed traders whose business uninsured was damaged by earthquakes.

Sanchez Abad explained that until today there have been 206 applications, of which 129 have occurred in the past three days, so it was considered appropriate to extend the deadline until the last day of this month, in order to avoid any affected dealer runs out of receiving aid.

Since early March can be beneficiaries of this aid the natural or legal owners of the business or commercial establishments, industrial or services (trade and / or traders) that as of May 11, 2011, had business or commercial matters less than fifty employees were available and not the date of the earthquake insurance policy in force and which are not beneficiaries of any other public assistance as a result of malfunction or damage to facilities for the same reason.

It is envisaged that traders hit by the earthquake can receive up to 8,000 euros on the basis of this new package of economic assistance.

Councilman has detailed that this line of support has a budget of 1 million and half euros and is intended to facilitate the rehabilitation of the damage or deterioration in individual business establishments, and is encompassed within the criteria entered in the agreement between the Ministry of Tourism and the city of Lorca, initialed by the solidarity of all the Autonomous Community.

However, the management committee of this line of support may also award grants to businesses relocating buildings demolished or awaiting demolition as a result of earthquakes.

Applications may be filed in the office for processing aids Lorca City Council has authorized for that purpose in the Cultural Center of the City in the morning (8:00 to 15:00).

All recipients of these grants must agree to reopen within a maximum of 5 months of the granting of aid.

The resolution of the files will be made by a commission composed of representatives of the City of Lorca, the Chamber of Commerce and Ceclor special attention to the display and sales area damaged.

On the other hand, the councilman of Commerce pointed out that up to April 30 also remains an open line of support of up to 8,000 euros for merchants who have insurance and is complementary to the Insurance Compensation Consortium, which already 249 submitted applications.

Aid for Trade will exceed 5.5 million euros

The amount of aid after the earthquake Lorca trade will be close to 5.5 million, not including preferred ICO credit lines to help companies with presence in the municipality, or aid to communities of owners, who also include an amount based on the low commercial or compensation from the Insurance Compensation Consortium.

Specifically, the lines of support implemented in this area are:

- Financial Assistance to the Bureau of Commerce: 500,000 €

- Rehabilitation for the new headquarters of the market square: 70,000 €

- Aid from the Ministry of Tourism CARM the innkeepers (through Hostelor): 200,000 €

- Aid for reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Directorate General for Trade of the CARM: there have been 270 applications to date, which will be awarded a maximum amount of € 1,992,000

- Line of aid to traders without insurance: 1,500,000 €

- Lines of support for the revitalization of trade approved by the Royal Decree: 1.5 million
