Lorca Castle this weekend hosts a charity event (26/04/2012)

The daytime entry to "Fight for Lorca" will cost one euro and € 3 night to enjoy the festival.

The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, and the mayor of Tourism, Francisco Montiel, presented together with representatives of the association of friends of the site of St. Stephen, Pagan and the Association Dinner Wyrdamur Medieval Folk music event presented beneficial classical medieval historical reenactment to be held in the Castle of Lorca from Friday through Sunday for those affected by the May 11 earthquake.

The mayor explained that the entry cost a euro daytime and evening € 3 to enjoy the festival, but the goal is not just raise money for the Bureau for Development, but the Lorca enjoy a jolly good day of leisure and citizens from other cities come to Lorca to spend several days.

The program includes a military camp several times, competitions and exhibitions of drawings, photographs and literature, sports competitions and recreational activities and historic battles.

Furthermore, on Saturday at 19:00 hours thousands of characters of the Feast of San Clemente, Moors and Christians of Murcia, Cartagena Carthaginians and Romans, Iberians Sodales Fortuna and other groups of the Spanish Federation of Historical Events and Recreation, will participate in a grand parade through the city.

Finally, Sunday is scheduled at 11:00 am an offering to those who died in earthquakes and rice and turkey contest at noon.

The councilman of Tourism has encouraged residents of the Region and neighboring provinces to come to Lorca to know the city and enjoy this show of solidarity, while also invited Lorca to climb to the castle.
