Mr. Bishop has shared with Lorca "this important moment in the life of a people who have suffered a lot, watching the earth tremble under their feet, how houses are crumbling and with them, part of their lives."

Lorca Bishop reminded the nine people who died in this earthquake and the two creatures that did not open his eyes to life.

In particular, expressed his closeness to the relatives of the victims, accompanying them in pain and providing comfort from Heaven.

This year, Lorca has gone through several stages, which is mixed pain and difficulty with gratitude for such solidarity, as well noted by the prelate.

Thus, the Pastor has evoked the principle of this time, which took precedence "the need for a friendly shoulder to find comfort and mourn the death, and even ceilings eyes with tears and could see many friendly hands that were offering life in first aid and the first task. "

Bishop Lorca Plans highlighted a second period of thanksgiving, "because the whole society turned to Lorca," a time when they have not missed "many expressions of solidarity, closeness, help and many signs of love" .

Thus, the Bishop of Cartagena has encouraged Lorca to open today at "other necessary step that has already shown to be present among you."

So Bishop opened the door to hope, "the certainty that all this pain and suffering and what is to remake will be overcome."

"Will recover normal life in a very beautiful city as Lorca, take back the smile, the possibilities for the future" - he asserted.

Mr. Bishop added that "in the midst of our fragile reality, we can walk on the path of hope, supported by faith, trusting in God."

"Christian hope and again renewed strength for a company as big as this, although at first glance it may seem difficult or impossible" - explained.

In this way, has indicated that we must rely on the forces that come from this theological virtue and 'learning and to fight the impulses of discouragement that hinder our daily journey of evangelical perfection. "

"True, the great hope of the man who holds firm in spite of all disappointments can only be of God" - Pastor stressed.

Finally, Bishop Lorca Planes said the special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary which is present in all Lorca.

"To her I come from the Plaza of Spain, the heart of the town of Lorca, to call Jesus".

Mr. Bishop concluded his homily directed his prayer to Mary, "Star of Hope, that welcomes us into his lap, in the different titles."

"Towards She is our prayer that all your life you see restored soon."

A secluded two-minute silence has sealed this commemorative event that, as stipulated by the Diocesan Pastor has taken place in the time interval between the time of the first earthquake and dramatic when the second quake.

"I wish that God may give us the strength to be citizens of the world and this city of Lorca" - Bishop wished the fire before the celebration.
