Works

As a result of earthquakes recorded on May 11, 2011, the Torre del Ram suffered major landslides and loss of volume in all of his coronation, with the appearance of cracks in the walls, the walls and vaults interior.

In that sense, we have consolidated the walls, filling the cracks that appeared without trying to move the walls to their original position.

It has also been reworked and the forged crowning filled in the sinuses of the vaults, in order to increase the overall stability.

In the grounds of the Castle walls were collapsing canvases, cracked masonry factories and landslides.

The works have been consolidated and restored structures were damaged and have ensured the stability of non-affected by the earthquake, while maintaining their tracks.

Is currently drafting a project to finish consolidate and ensure other areas of the grounds of the Castle.

Also completed the restoration of 152 pieces, most ceramic, Municipal Archaeological Museum of Lorca.

The project represents an investment of 54,000 euros.

All these interventions are developed under the Recovery Plan for Cultural Heritage of Lorca, a management and coordination between government planning and programming activities of conservation and restoration after the earthquake.
