The Councillor for Social Services City of Lorca, Mari Carmen Ruiz, informed that the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, take the House's proposal to eliminate the extra pay for Christmas and the town councilors, reducing the share of income councilors receiving no assistance released by Parliament.
Ruiz explained that this fall in the remuneration of councilors and the mayor will save about 63,000 euros approximately municipal coffers and recalled that already in 2010 the mayor's salary was reduced by 9%, 7% the full-time councilors and 5% part-time and during the two previous years there was a freeze on his salary.
The Mayor also proposed to further reduce by 20% of the City's contribution to civic groups, has already been reduced to three times since becoming mayor Francisco Jodar.
In this way, it is expected save more of 20,000 €.
"Since the Popular Party government Lorca have had as a fundamental principle of austerity in spending and the provision of better services to citizens at lower cost, and this is further proof of it," Ruiz said.
2,100 euros to hire exceptional assistance of the Bureau for Development
On the other hand, the Local Government Board has approved payment of the rent exceptional assistance funded by the Bureau for Development of two families affected by the earthquake that did not meet the requirements of Royal Decree.
Thus, the Bureau for Development has already given € 3,034,987.55.
