The Councillor for Culture of the City, Sandra Martinez, and the president of the Commercial Log, Juan Montoya, have reported that there will be seven awards whose winners will share € 4,600

The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, and the president of the Commercial Log, Juan Montoya, I have presented the painting competition outdoors "City of Lorca" organized for this Friday the business community in collaboration with the lorquino Consistory.

The mayor explained that "this initiative is to gather in the historic city of several dozen artists from the region of Murcia and neighboring provinces and citizens come to see how they develop this cultural activity to shape our streets, landscapes and monuments on some paintings, which will then be exposed. Martinez said "to encourage participation in this competition the jury will award three prizes and three second prizes, first prize being endowed with 2,000 € provided by the City, the second prize of 1,000 € Sponsored by the Community of Irrigators, the third € 500 prize and three runners-up will be recognized with 500 € each, provided by Montoya, Rafael Tables, plus' Black and Azul'-The Brotherhood.

Montoya stressed that "one of the objective of this activity is to promote cultural historical activity, remembering that it is the best place to be given Lorca around and enjoy the city."

Entries to the competition can be made from 8 to 11 of the same Friday in the Plaza of Spain, having to deliver the works in the Community Irrigation between 16:00 and 17:00, to be valued by jurors, which will include representatives of the Municipal School of Fine Arts in Lorca, the School of Plastic Arts of Murcia, the commercial area and the City lorquino Corredera.

The winning works will become property of the sponsors of the awards.
