Valcárcel Lorca ensures that the Plan will be in the State Budget and the Autonomous Community (27/09/2012)

The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today reaffirmed the commitment of the central government and the Region of Murcia with the recovery of the city of Lorca and all damage caused by the earthquakes of 2011.

So said Valcarcel in the presentation of the Yearbook of the Association of Journalists of the Region of Murcia, which this year has chosen this city for presenting what he called "great chronicle of the Region of Murcia" and that, in this occasion, "how could it be otherwise, has a name that is Lorca".

Also noted that the "Plan Lorca is a firm commitment and inescapable Minister of Spain, such as the Region of Murcia, and will reflected in the State Budget and the Autonomous Community for the coming year , and also in the successive ".

In this sense, the regional chief executive stressed that this plan "must not only consider immediate action, but must define Lorca we want in the next few years" and that, he said, "not only be present in the Budgets, but go far beyond, looking, besides investments, other actions and incentives ".

"What happened in the town of Lorca in May 2011 marked a before and after in the region and all-said the president has been mirrored at the daily news of journalists."

So he said, "from the first moment, solidarity and collective effort marked a path to recovery, which also acquired a deserved prominence in the Yearbook of the Region of Murcia."

In that line, Valcárcel appealed for "solidarity and participation of all" to continue working for the recovery of the city, because "all together, in consensus, generosity and unity, we will achieve this goal."

Community President stressed that "as in the many daily tasks that develop the Association of Journalists of the Region of Murcia", this new Yearbook "has managed to collect the inheritance" of previous years and "now reaches our hands with the quality that has always been the watchword of this publication, with professionalism and a demonstrated and recognized good work. "

In the era of the information society, and the great inspiration that has led to the incorporation of social networking media, "the amount of information does not always mean more and better knowledge," said the president.

So, in such a context, "the publication of the College of Journalism reflects professionalism, accuracy, objectivity, credibility, respect, honesty, independence, authenticity and accountability, all of them, principles which have been coined as the new journalism Decalogue and that must govern the daily work of those who exercise it, "he added.
