The environmental campaign 'Clean Up the World' about Lorca conservation work and environmental protection (27/10/2012)

The Ministry of the Presidency, through the Environmental Volunteer Program Natural Areas of the Directorate General for the Environment, held today in Lorca environmental volunteer a day of the international campaign 'Clean Up the World'.

This is an activity that aims to raise public awareness about the need to keep the environment clean and promote actions that help protect the environment.

Under the slogan 'Our Environment.

Our Planet.

Our Responsibility ', the campaign launched a direct message of the importance of active involvement in community and volunteer in the care of the natural environment, and the many benefits that are derived from a responsible attitude to the environment.

The focus environmental volunteer activity in Lorca solidarity with the intention of making known worldwide damage caused by the tragic earthquake in May 2011 and the severe flooding that occurred last September, and while help boost the city this day.

This event, organized by the Department, the city of Lorca and the Neighborhood Association of San Juan La Viña, provides educational activities to promote awareness and citizen engagement with the natural environment, such as recycling waste or conservation water and energy.

Cleanup and environmental education workshops

The environmental volunteer work with Lorca citizens affected by the severe floods last September 28 in the cleanup and recovery of their homes.

The day is completed with a program of activities and workshops on environment environmental games, which aims to raise the kids with the problems of waste and environmental conservation.
