The Local Government Board wishes to acknowledge the role thus essential that journalists have had in getting useful information to citizens, especially in disasters of earthquakes and floods.
Councilwoman City of Lorca, Mari Carmen Ruiz, reported this morning that the Local Government Board lorquino Consistory was the first in the region to join the Manifesto in Defense of Journalism driven Journalists Association and the Federation of Murcia Journalists from Spain.
"The government team thus want to acknowledge the vital role that journalists have had in getting useful information to citizens, especially in disasters of earthquakes and floods," stressed the mayor.
Ruiz took the opportunity to "give special thanks to the local media workers who have responsibility when applied to report objectively and without sensationalism in difficult situations and which has required more than ever the public service."
In this sense, the Consistory lorquino stands ready to continue to report transparently and facilitating their work to journalists in their day to day, to the need and obligation to keep the citizen.
