Lorca Students aged 14 to 18 will participate in the First Short Narrative Literary Contest and Essay "Rosalia Vallejo Chamber" (04/02/2013)

Women Councilwoman City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, along with the President of the Federation of Women's Organizations of Lorca, Pilar Fernandez, I have presented the Short Narrative Literary Contest and Essay "Rosalia Vallejo Chamber", which convenes to raise awareness and educate the youth of the schools of Lorca, promoting reflection on the problem and the situation of women in today's society.

This event, organized by the Federation of Women's Organizations Lorca, is aimed at students aged 14 to 18 years and enrolled in any school in the municipality of Lorca.

No participant may exceed 18 years of age at the time of the call.

The participants may be narratives work or test and will have to be about women and violence, women and wage discrimination, women in the political, economic, social or cultural, immigrant women, women and disabled, rural women or young women.

The stories will not exceed two pages written on one side with double spacing and font Times New Roman, 12 point.

Accommodation is only stories or unpublished texts, not awarded in other contests and other events presented simultaneously.

The first prize will be a tablet, the second a check worth 125 euros to buy books and school supplies for the 2013-2014 year and the third a check of 75 euros for the same purpose.

The work will be supported by a teacher belonging to the same school as the student participant and shall certify that the student is the author of the text.

The films will be unsigned, in duplicate and in large envelope closed.

Inside will be included in another sealed envelope whose exterior appears pseudonym while inside a folio will be introduced with the participant's data including name, address, ID number, telephone, and school name and DNI the teacher who endorses it.

The deadline was extended from 1 to February 25 and will be delivered to the director of the center in which the student is enrolled.

The jury will be composed of the Board of FOML, Eulalia Ibarra, Rosalia Vallejo Chamber, Pedro Felipe Sánchez Granados, Bayonas Josefina Perez-Wheeler, Dolores Abellán and Isabel García Amador.

The awards ceremony will take place at a public event to be held on Monday, March 11 at 19 pm in the Cultural Fund Espin.
