Councilman of Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has released the list of winners of the 5th Storytelling Contest for Secondary Education "Award Pascual Angeles", in which participated 278 students narratives of compulsory secondary education.
Awards will be presented on Thursday, February 28, at 18.30 in the Cultural Fund Espin.
The award in the category of students of 1 ° and 2 ° of the ESO has been conquered by Martín Pérez San Jose, Sun City College, with the story titled "The Book".
The second prize was awarded to the play "A pet for Christmas" by Elena Gimenez Martinez, also the College alumna Sun City The third prize winner was Pablo Martinez Gomez, the College of St. Francis of Assisi, with the work entitled "A family treasure."
Also within this category have been finalists Manchón Mario Molina, Sun City College, with the work "lutenist Visigoth" Rafael Rodriguez Alcaraz, IES Ramón Arcas Mecca, with narration "Frostee, the penguin who wanted to fly" and Gema Salmeron Lopez, IES Ibáñez Martín, with the story "Life of Lily".
In the category of students of 3rd and 4th of ESO, the first prize was awarded to Giner Morenilla Angeles, student of IES Ramón Arcas Mecca, with his "Six String".
The story "Only life teaches you to live" Maria Jose Montiel Bravo, also a student of IES Ramón Arcas Mecca, won the second prize while the third prize was awarded to the story "Friends ..." by Selena Costa Duarte , San Juan Bosco IES.
The finalists in this category were Jorge Serrano García, IES Ramón Arcas Mecca, with the work entitled "22 September 1953", Alba Romero Lazarus, Sun City College with "Ichi's Diary" and Emma Martinez Gimenez Sun City College with "A friend hiding in my room."
Up to 278 stories, 124 more than last year, students from all secondary schools in the municipality have participated in this fifth edition of the event which honors Angeles Pascual, professor of historical institutes and Ibáñez Martín Ros Giner, Director of Municipal Library for over 30 years and adopted daughter of Lorca.
The jury of the contest, organized by the Municipal Libraries Network Lorca, was chaired by Pascual Angeles, and formed by Francisco Montiel, Councillor for Education and University City of Lorca, Elena Castillo Castro, writer; Susana Abellán Cuesta, professor Literature in the IES Bartolomé Pérez Casas Piñero Gregoria Vera, professor of literature at the College of Sun City; Fernando Square Mulero, Professor of Literature in High Pedanías IES La Paca; Purification Borredat Sanchez, also professor of IES Highlands Villages The Paca; Pascual Pérez Navarro, Professor of Literature at IES and Susana Giner Ros Mora Torres and Maria Luisa García Peñas, librarians.
