The Department of Works receives a donation of luminaries Socelec-Schréder firm valued at 65,000 euros (21/02/2013)

Councilman Works and Municipal Services City of Lorca, Angel Mecca, received this morning an important material assistance by the company Socelec-Schréder, consisting of 210 fixtures (team gear + housing + bulb) of special lighting design intended public.

Mecca Ruzafa explained that this is to be installed units progressively in the public lighting network of our municipality.

We're talking art luminaries, especially designed to work with low power, with the aim of halving consumption in kilowatt and, in equal measure, emissions to the environment.

These new lights will allow us to emphasize the achievements we are getting through the implementation and further development of the Savings Plan and Energy Efficiency that set off from the Town Hall a few years ago.

It is a joint donation by the firm in question, that after the catastrophes that our city has suffered in recent times (earthquakes and floods), wanted to contribute to the extent possible the recovery of Lorca.

Note that the material transferred to the City free from Socelec-economic Schréder involving an amount in excess of € 65,000.

The delivery has made the CEO of the company in Spain, Jorge Leirana, promoter of this initiative.

Angel Mecca is anticipated that the Council's commitment to reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere has resulted in a cut of more than 20% of them, a percentage that exceeds even dialed by the "Covenant of Mayors", signed by the Consistory.

The delivery of equipment for municipal electric service includes 35 units MC3 model, sodium and with a power of 50 W and 33 units MC3 model, 100 W and manufactured based on SAP technology (using sodium vapor high pressure), and 142 luminaries RD2 100 W model, also sodium vapor high pressure.

This material was deposited this morning in municipal facilities, and will be incorporated into the network of public lighting over the coming weeks.
