The Mayor opened the new multi-sensory room Early Childhood Center (12/06/2013)

This is a new resource worth more than 12,000 euros.

There waterbed, bubble tube, fiber optic tubes, stereo and touch screen.

With this new equipment Municipal Center for Early becomes national benchmark.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and Social Services Councilman city council, Maria del Carmen Ruiz, inaugurated this morning the new multi-sensory room which has been endowed Municipal Center for Early.

The mayor has indicated that this room was made with an investment of 12,000 euros selflessly provided by the Rotary Club of Valencia, working through this body also Les Trois Colombers Club of France and the ULM-NEU ULM Germany.

With this investment, Lorca first realized with a multi-sensory room for treatment of children 0-6 years develop abnormal sensory and / or motor problems such as cerebral palsy, muscular rigidity, decreased mobility, vision or hearing problems, among others.

This room has specialized equipment that allows working in sensory stimuli at strengthening and developing the touch, hearing or vision.

The Mayor explained that this new infrastructure has waterbed, bubble tube, fiber tubes, stereo and touch screen.

30% of users of the Early Childhood Center will benefit from this facility, which will mean about 100 children a month.

Before having this facility, we worked with other techniques, but the truth is that thanks to this room the results will be short term and effectively.

With this new equipment and in its new headquarters, the Early Childhood Center Lorca becomes a reference not only regionally, but nationally.

Very few centers of its kind in the whole country meet our conditions, which is great news, because their progress have direct implications in the treatment of children, our only goal.

Remember that this center has a total floor area of ​​461 square meters on the ground floor with reception area, 13 halls and classrooms of childcare in areas such as stimulation, speech therapy, physical therapy, psychomotor, research, evaluation, stimulation, living meeting, room for attention to parents, administration areas, etc..

It serves 420 families.

This excellent infrastructure could be built with the cooperation of the City, the Vodafone Foundation and Lions Club Spain.

Now, thanks to the generosity of the Rotary Club of Valencia, Lorca has a very important new facility for the care of children, an essential tool for users of the Early Childhood Center, which already has the best possible facilities.
