The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has expressed appreciation for the work the city has developed since his appointment and until today the Commissioner of the Government of Spain for the reconstruction of the city after the earthquake that occurred in 2011.

It is therefore a budgeted plan and all actions planned and underway, with which the Government of Spain, in collaboration with the Region of Murcia and Lorca, continues with the reconstruction and economic recovery of Lorca pursuant to Royal Decree-Law 11/2012.
It is also a dynamic plan is evolving, taking advantage of new programming of EU Funds 2014-2020 with the new figure ITI (Integrated Territorial Investment), allowing you to expand into new actions to achieve the comprehensive transformation of the city and, Therefore, the launch of Lorca and its region.
Estate Recovery.
The Recovery Plan for Cultural Heritage, which includes performances by 75 unique buildings in Lorca, has continued over the past year and a half.

The estimated amount of the actions contained in the Plan totaled 60 million euros, the buildings on which acts move from 75-108 to include many buildings in Grade 3, and committed funding reaches 90 percent of the total.

93 percent of cases resolved.
In the case of aid handled by the Joint Commission, has been solved almost 93 percent of cases, compared to 46 percent who had in March 2012.

More than 433 million in the execution of other actions
Besides aid from the Joint Commission and the derivatives of the restoration of the heritage of Lorca, have articulated other subsidies contained in Royal Decree-law 6/2011 and 17/2011 and the Agreement of the Council of Ministers of 28 October 2011, as well as other measures not covered by these rules.
The amount of these other actions executed amounts to 569 370 000.
Of this number, 450 640 000 correspond to the compensation of the Insurance Compensation Consortium.
Rebuild status
Similarly, with regard to the state of reconstruction, in September 2013 has increased significantly the number of licenses granted, but especially has increased the number of licenses for major works for the reconstruction of houses (1,048) and the number of homes whose reconstruction has begun.
Even they have handed over the keys of 64 houses rebuilt.
The number of building permits minor home repair (5041) has almost tripled since March 2012.
