The City of Lorca has organized for Saturday October 12 on the occasion of Columbus Day, the traditional act of commemoration of the National Day of Spain and Spanish flag tribute to be held in the Plaza de Colón city, as is customary in recent years.
The event will begin at 11:00 am and will consist of the hoisting of the national flag to the strains of the anthem of Spain, a double pride for the city, since it was exactly a Lorca, Bartolomé Pérez Casas, who composed by Custom King Alfonso XIII, based on arrangements of Grenadier March.
The Mayor, Francisco Jodar Lorca invites all to join in this celebration and homenajeen and our flag, symbol of the Spanish nation and sign of the sovereignty, independence, unity and integrity of the country, which holds as superior values constitutionally recognized liberty, justice, equality and political pluralism, all within the framework of our social and democratic state of law.
