The Rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Jose Antonio Franco, and the Minister of Public Works, Antonio Sevilla, opened Tuesday in the School of Civil and Mining UPCT free course 'structural criteria for the treatment of buildings in area seismic ', which was attended by more than a hundred students from the Polytechnic and industry professionals.

During the seminar, organized by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia and Lorca City Council, has spoken of the first inspections conducted after the tragic earthquake of May 2011, the procedure for evaluating damaged buildings, the project Structural new construction in seismic areas, coordination of emergency equipment repair heritage and rehabilitation of buildings damaged by earthquakes.
