The Medieval Market of San Clemente parties brings to 120 establishments in the streets of Calderon, Columbus and the Negrito (21/11/2013)

It offers a number of services such as hemp and esparto workshops, entertainment shows by the War Theatre Company, bouncy castle for children, pony rides and falconry, dwarf buffalo or camel.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, inaugurated this morning the medieval market that has been installed on the occasion of the celebrations of the patron of the city, San Clemente.

The Market is located in the streets of Calderon, Columbus and the Negrito, plus Alporchones in the latter site for the first time.

Will be available to all visitors between 21 and 24 November from 11am until influx of public at night.

The Mayor explained that about 120 stores from all over the country will be available to visitors, bringing the number grows considerably considering that in the 2012 edition included 80 artisans.

In different places we can find delicacies such as cheeses, meats, bakery, pastry, pickles, etc..

Also handicrafts, jewelry, wooden toys, and so on.

There will also be giant tavern grilled taste products, located in the Plaza de Colón and the novelty will install a grocery Alporchones Galician in expanding the market area.

Francisco Jodar said that part of the program that the city of Lorca develops to celebrate the feast of San Clemente could not miss this Medieval Market which has already become a tradition.

Through this initiative we relive the medieval era touring leisure market offers plenty of attractions, from the commercial to the dining, and also share with Lorca and visitors a number of special activities to celebrate the holidays our Patron.

This year the Medieval Market expands in number of establishments and in terms of space used, which is consolidated in our city as an incentive within the program created to celebrate the feast of the Patron.
